I'm currently working on a proposing a project to use remote sensing and web based GIS to monitor and track discharges from WWTF (and hopefully ACOE).
I'd like to find out if it's already being done in the area. I've spoken with people at UCF that are doing seagrass mapping, but nothing like this. I've read about a half dozen papers on similar projects being used to track oil spills, but most of that is done with satellites. I'm looking to establish in-situ monitoring stations with telemetry up and downstream to establish background and track the dispersion over time and space. With the hopes of correlating the discharges with algal blooms. ------------------------- Specializing in sarcasm and condescending rhetoric since 1971. |
