Believe it or not, rich people don't keep their wealth in $100 bills stuffed in a mattress. Most of it is going to be tied up in investments, most of which are not very liquid. And getting the money from assets that are liquid is usually going to involve a big tax hit. So, while I could get together a million bucks, it would cost me somewhere north of an additional $200,000 in taxes. Most people would rather not do that.

I wonder if they are going to hit any of his bank accounts? File the judgement, do the paper, have the marshal/sheriff take the 'order' to the bank manager, the bank manager cuts a cashier/certified check forthwith while the LEO waits. Done.

You can't just file the judgment in Fl. or any other state. There is a process that has to be followed. Nor does someone just show up at a bank to ask for the money. A garnishment action must be filed. Besides, I would imagine that money in the bank accounts of the defendants is long gone. As I said, it is not as easy as you guys think to enforce a judgment.
