But, your argument generally goes against The Laws of Nature. Mostly, the strong do survive, and the weak do perish. We call it; "the survival of the fittest". It has been that way since time began here on this planet. Ya, ya, it certainly does suck but, to think otherwise is what we call hubris. Humans never seem to "get" that they are not any better than any other thing in this universe. But, it does seem to be rather satisfying to think otherwise.
We do know that everybody is not really "born equal", and as life wears upon us we know that there are those that nature takes advantage of and ends their existence. To think otherwise is insane.
Yep, sure enough, life does suck. But, that is in accordance with the laws of this universe.
Otherwise, everybody should actually be born "equal" in every regard and live as long as they care to.
I think there another natural law that trumps "survival of the fittest", and that's "strength in numbers".
There are very few animals in nature which exist singularly and in competition with their peers.
Socialism doesn't, and never has, suggested that people are born equal in ability. Recall our cannon is "from each according to his ability, to each according to his need". It's everyone's responsibility to share in the effort, as best they can, and as a member of the community, we care for the disabled. That's the true ethical law of the universe.
Not everyone is ready, but we are evolving as a species.
