There's a big hole in the roof at the large circular decoration and a smaller one at the decoration n front of it.
The roof collapsed in front of the rose window (and in the foreground) but the rose window facing the River Seine s apparently OK.
Risen Jesus mistaken for gardener. Well, he had a shovel, didn't he? Probably soot, water, or humidity damage but restorable. All the large paintings in the general area survived.
Snow was starting to get beautiful

Word from the organists is that the Grand Organ needs a careful dusting but doesn't have to be disassembled. The initial short-term tarp is protecting the entire roof. No water can get in. The building is vulnerable to wind damage. The roof and the fallen portions of the stone vaults contributed to wind resistance and structural stability. The building won't be fully stabilized (and hazardous stuff taken down) until fall. Right now, debris are being removed, scaffolds being installed. I assume that a system of braces and structures to provide access during construction will be erected in the nave, transept and choir. Barring something like a bad windstorm, I think prospects for the Cathedral are very good. The damage is worse than at Chartres in 1836, when its ancient roof burned but the stone vaults all remained intact. They installed an elegant iron roof that has since become a historic structure in its own right.
