Flight leaves at 7 a.m. Just zipped up the bag and hope I can get a couple hours shuteye before the airport ride. Yeah....just posting to gloat my ass off. Haven't been down there for many a year and curious to see the changes. The bridge over the Rio Florida is a good thing. Yeah...yeah...yeah...no pics and it didn't happen. Gonna be off the grid for awhile (maybe, depending on access) but perhaps a few photos of a middle age fat guy trimming with aplomb and determination may surface, for the 2ndlight surfing world to envy. BWHA HAHA HAHAHAH

I had two/three days of no communication with the family once I got there but I see kids on the internet every where. I finally ask" how in the hell are you on the internet in the middle of nowhere.

The kid rolls his eyes and says "its called wifi dude"

Had to stay the night in Alajeula. Except for aimlessly wandering the streets sampling the local Boca's, Helado and the first Pilsen I've had in years, there is nothing to do in Alejuela on a Tuesday afternoon. Since ATT service doesn't work in Costa we used the APP: "LINE: Free Calls & Messages" from LINE Corporation and available from Google Play. You need to have access to WiFi when using it and reception quality is related to the strength of the connection. We used it several times from Tamarindo to FL. It is rated as the #1 DL in 52 countries. It does not say that both phones need it.
