well my last killer umbrella bit the dust on Saturday (she had a soild 3year run)...

so my question is,what do you all use/do for shade wise....debating on pulling the trigger on one of those tent canopy pop up things,but all i hear is how the wind.beats the shit out of them(i dont plan on being out there in 15-20 anyways..lol),how there a pain in the ass to set up by ya self, they fall apart EZ and what not..and of course i cant find.those umbrellas i had to begin with...so im on the hunt for something new...

whats the 2ndLight crew recommend...talk2me,...

When our boy was a new born and we went to the beach we used a self pop up tent alot.

It took using it 4 or 5 times to get the hang of folding it back up but after that I loved it.
It has bags sewn onto it in 4 places to fill with sand so it doesnt blow away.

Since our son has gotten to be 2.5 yrs old, we just use an umbrella cuz he doesnt stay still anymore under the shade. Thats where the wife laughs at us when I turn into a 3 year old in the sand.

Oh and BUCK, i have a little girl on the way. Due in August. I might need some advice on baby girls.

Yup, when my daughter was small I used one of those really cheap pop up tents (anchored well). She LOVED it and always pretended she was camping. It was a good place for a nap, too - better than an umbrella.
