It can go either way, it's really a flip of a coin, that I'm willing to risk.

I have had an experience where my board bag was too heavy for the plane and therefore didnt come on my flight but would be on the next flight arriving the next day. I was told this upon arriving in San Jose =(

Then the most recent trip me and my fiance went on with them was flawless. $160 round trip out the door to San Jose from Fort Lauderdale. We didnt pay for bags ( Other than surfbag ) threw all of our clothes in there. Didnt pick our seats and somehow someway managed the front row ( extended leg room ) and the plane was on time.

You know it kind of reminds of me of a a time when I was a youngin in highschool. A vending machine repairman was fixing the machine next to the one I was attempting to use. I put a dollar in, and no soda came out. I asked the repairman for help and he said in the most calming tone
" You win some, you lose some "

Maybe I'm an alcaholic but I always get a bottle of decent scotch in the duty free terminal after security and drink it on the plane! Just now learned that it is officially against FAA regulations!!!

I'd say that's a fair write up.  I think those on-time stats are a bit old and we are getting much better.

Yes, drinking your own booze is illegal on all airlines and not some ploy to get more money out of you.  It's so the flight attendants can meter the intake so a passenger doesn't become a health hazard at 35,000ft or a safety hazard in an evacuation.

I risked it on my last trip to El Salvador and saved my family of four $800 versus the next lowest fare. The outbound flight to San Salvador arrived an hour late, and the return flight was right on time. My boards arrived with no damage - overall very pleased and hope they continue to improve.
