Broke my board on the last biggish day, was a Sunday right?

Surfed on a sprained ankle for the first 3-4days (stupid me), broke it fully on the 5th after a big air drop landing on my board...amazing waves and an ending I'll never forget!

A moment of silence for Joaquin Monday (Oct 5) when it all got organized with clean off shores still solid overhead sets and hollow left/right Konas all day long.  It was a good long day in the water on my 2nd or 3rd wind, but I was in and out of more gapers than a week at Rados.  

The lineups were empty with most unable to surf after Sunday due to lack of stamina and other priorities... like real jobs.

Soo.. I've seen probably ten of these on Facebook. My memory popped up from a swell that was six years ago today. For the life of me I can't remember what storm that was? Anyone?

I remember making it out and sitting on my board with like 5 people staring at a perfect glassy left just reeling by. Looked just like that first picture. Man...............
