South Nica is much better than Costa in general because of the wind condition. Also, have seen people complain about it sucking because they don't know the place. Some of the breaks don't work if there is too much south in it for example ...while others will be firing.

Oh Contrer mon frer. The MalPais area has never failed me. But it has spoiled me.

Malpais is great, except for the winds going onshore in the afternoon. Always an evening glassoff every time I have been there though. In comparison, I have probably spent 3 months across several trips in south Nica and have has a grand total of two half days ruined by onshore wind.

Hey, Dalton

Well done!

Bummed I had to cancel joining you and the boyz that week.
Would have been a lot of fun.

After all ...
If you want to really get barreled,
You gotta find the wave and push yourself over the ledge,
even if you don't think you can make it

To be fair, the local kids burn EVERYONE @ COs....

Just don't burn Oscar or Carlito or you might get some stink eyes in the lineup.

Let me know if you ever need a +1 for Nica, Dalton.

Early morning and late after noon (AKA feeding time) are really the only times to go out without being pounded by the sun.

Sunscreen and reapplication helps with that. So does carrying a stick to reapply while in the water. The sun is worse there but not THAT much worse than it is here.

It's all the same really. Without aduana, you'd never know which country you're in. After 90 days in Costa, one used to have to leave for 72 hours. We got hooked up with a guy that, for a nominal fee, would stamp it in 5 minutes. We were in Pavones and went across a river on a Ferry that was pallets tied to barrels. We got to the frontera, but was on the Panama side. Guards saw the boards and passed us thru.
