I read the sticky post on how to post pics, and I have followed that step-by-step, but all I end up with in my post is what looks like an empty box.  Is life just an empty box? Anyway, can someone give me a bit of advice on what I may be doing wrong? Thanks.

You uploaded the photo to 2ndlight server?

Yes. When I go to the Add Attachments page, I can tap on the box displayed and see that I have several pictures uploaded. Then I go to my message and select the Photo button, I enter the url for the forum directory (this was in the Posting Pics sticky) with my picture file added to the end of the url. I hit insert, and then all I see pop up in my message is a empty box???

i also tried using Photobucket and uploading the pic from there, but get the same result.

What I do is take the first part of the link and then put in the name of the photo with .JPG extension

where you replace xxxx with the name of the photo

well, that worked.  I’ll try to do the same thing on the other posting that I want to add a pic to, and see if I’m successful. Thanks!

Thanks for the help. I see that the forum directory that you used is different from the one given in the “definitive Guide to posting pics” post that I was following. Guess that post was not that definitive. 

Am still having problems. Now, when I try to upload some pics (.jpg files), it is telling me that the files are not the type allowed.
