Both my kids learned on Wavestorm boards. Great for teaching and they work in crappy waves. Not as fun to ride as a longboard though.

I think they are a ton of fun on the tiny days. I don't even really use my longboard anymore, just my 8' wavestorm.

We just got an order of their rental and surf line called stormblade. They are well built and paddle well, havent ridden one yet.
Let me know if you want to try one.
Also, i have a ron jon 9'6 gnaraloo style sponger for $110 bucks, great condition.
Also a 5'7" rj sponge fish

Cheap and disposable. Last a couple years get waterlogged or break. Buy another.

Support the craft!  Support the culture and history not China.  Get a longboard from a craftsman.

I'm still very much a beginner, but I have a 9' foamie that I take out all the time when its small.

I like not having to worry about nicks, cracks, etc. when I'm messing around in 1'-2' of water.

Didn't know it took a craftsman to make a foam board , we aren't talking about a $1000 longboard , but a wavestorm foamy .

Oh don't worry I do, all my boards have been made in Brevard, but I'm 23 and not exactly rich so not gonna get a board shaped for a mess around/learning board. But I ended up getting one, hope to grovel around on it tomorrow!

This is what I ride. You can get way more speed on a foamy... and the challenge of constantly trying not to fall.

how's the fish on shorepound type days? I have a 5'6 Chris Birch (I think he calls it the accelorator) quad fish that I love but sometimes it's so close to shore I'm scared of snapping the nose.. side note- That's my favorite my board I've ridden in waist high slop to shoulder high and proper barrells

The 6ft ones suck. 7ft seems to be the magic RJ's size.
