To all my east coast friends..... I am Rich and Phil Salick's sister and I have been collecting Vintage Salick boards for a while. I recently acquired this board from a guy who fessed up to stealing it when he was young and foolish. If this is your board, and you can tell me when, and what the circumstances where at the time this board was stolen.............You can have it back.
I know how bad it sucks to have your stuff stolen, and I want to make every effort to get this board back home.

Thanks
~ Joanie

That's way cool. Hope you find the owner. What year was it stolen?

Pretty sure it was 1983. I know it's a long shot, but I wouldn't feel comfortable keeping this board unless I tried to reconnect it with its original owner.

I had a Salick surfboard in 1983. Never remember what happened to it but remember it had a great air brush of the a peeling wave down the stringer like most Salick Boards did. Who was the air brusher for them back then?

I think Mike "Nemo" Nemnchik. I also think the salicks could airbrush. Fuzzy Memories

Both Rich and Phil were accomplished airbrush artists. Painting everything from license plates to sand dollars....... Rich always signed his airbrush work, so if it didn't have a signature, it could have been Nemo. Really hard to say without a picture of the board.
