You guys (and gals) definitely need some surf! Hope it stays well offshore and gives you lots of swell.

Ugggh.... 240hr forecasts are to be taken with the BIG grain of salt.... but atm the GFS is predicting a stronger Florence (stronger storms have a tendency to be pulled poleward) with a developing coastal low to help keep her out to sea, as the high pressure to the north isnt as strong and moves out..... EURO is calling for a weaker Florence heading more west, with a strong blocking high. This would be a DOOM scenario (3/3 for FL ?). It'll change 100 times but.... OK have a good day. Hopefully some worthy windbumps to ride the next couple of days to wake up the paddle muscles: DOOM

LOTS of variables going on here.... Dry Saharan Dusty air, changing wind shear patterns, another potential storm moving off the African coast (Euro blows it up, GFS disregards it), potential high pressure ridge moving off the NE....LOTS of divergence in all the major models....... I just hope we get a few days of PUMPING surf.... not bullshit. Which was the best way to describe the "waves" I just tried to ride, even on a fatboy sized fish

Well that's a beautiful thing.

Not for those of us who got hammerrdd by hurricanes 2 years in a row.... I LOVE big waves, but would prefer not to make it 3 years in a row. ..... but the latest EURO is WAAAAAY different now. Hopefully she gains steam quickly and gets pulled north. Big long period swells and NO DAMAGE

NHC keep bumping up the intensity forecast. Starting Saturday we're going to have an amazing run of waves.

The 120 mile buoy model showing 10ft @ 18 sec on Wednesday. Doubt we will get that but if we did I dont even know what that would look like on our beaches. One big mile long closeout most likely. Only a handfull of spots that could handle that size and period. See ya out there!
