Super long fetch to the winds when it was a non-tropical gale. Now as a subtropical cyclone it still has winds >35kts spanning over 5 degrees in all directions. Everybody going to get swell from Nova Scotia to PR to Porto. Look at all the north wind on the west side of that. Just think if a winter storm bombs out and stalls off Hatteras like that in December-February. Cold, like Ash Wednesday storm back in 1962

A few diamonds in the rough in CCB today. Surprising size on the sets.

Brevard too, and it's got enough angle to really screw up the form.

exactly I was hoping for moderate straight east winds with surface chop being blocked by swells..... reality: not so much.

Wind let up enough up here this afternoon to make high tide pretty interesting.... unfortunately that two week run of surfing everyday around Florence and her friends has my battered knee feeling older than Sunrisesurfer ...... but it looks like Leslies fetch is back to pointing at us again, so we should have surf through the weekend, before another run of solid onshore windswell starts again sunday afternoon and through next week
