I got married at the O Club! 1986 Surf was good but I was going to Barbados the next day so I gave it a pass.

"I remember South Africa in the late 70's, sleeping on the beach at J-bay, smoking ganja with the blacks. On weekends we'd go to the pub in East London to drink beer and fight with the Afrikaners. They liked to fight, I liked to fight. It was a good time"

Hurricane Bill at No-Club courtesy of Sunrise Surfer

Paddled out at Monster Hole that morning with Tom Neilson with the stars still out, it was nice. Stopped at O'club on the way home.

If you remember the O club had a huge ocean front window so all the officers and their wife's could watch the ocean while dining......
Being the counter-culture/70's Q-lude crew...... Just before sunset me and 2 buddies paddled and when we caught a wave we would drop our baggies and let it all hang out....
Surfed for 45 minutes or so. Got dark, we got out. I thought for sure the AP's were coming anytime......

That's the best place to surf anywhere near Cocoa Beach. The more north you go the more it sucks.
