Once in about 20 sessions or so I somehow get my leash wrapped around my foot when I get up....is there a certain trick to avoiding this? I've heard some people say it happens from storing your leash with kinks in it, but I always keep mine laying on the ground unfolded. Most of the time it's not that big of a deal, but that rare time where you're on a really good wave and you have to try to untangle yourself first, it kinda sucks.

I had one with a swivel on both ends, the thing never tangled.

All leashes are not created equal.

There's a leash with a yellow ring that supposed to prevent this from happening again can't remember what it's called though. Ride a long board no leash it

Pull the leash up onto your board and lay on it when you paddle so it does not create drag in water. May help keep from getting it tangled.
