in the near future there could be an chance to do a 2-coast/one day sessions..DP on the East then drive across to the West for afternoon/sunset session. GOMEX buoys should get real big with the coming Gale...You need everything to line up , good leftover's on the East in the AM...NE wind switch in the West before sunset...been a while since I have caught both coasts on the same day..a novelty to do but kinda cool to see the dif. in water, salinity, and clean to extreme/clean conditions....Need at least 15'+ on a certain Gulf buoy to signal go!....OR...Great time to jump Spirit from MCO to ACY for Jersey Juice..another option..too bad Jersey has weird laws on board rentals (Pop Outs only?) its tough to air drop into a pit on a BIC plastic cork.

^^^ yea it still real cold 50 degrees , full suit, booties, gloves but a good 3/2 will work, I like to duct tape wrists and legs...been out there in 47 without a hood but I had a vest under the full..The reason I mention it is Spirit flys direct; it used to be real cheap if you pack right (one carry on under the seat) and sign up for 9 fare club..it helps to have a place to stay in ACY or OC but there are some cheap hotels in Galloway. Sadly can't make this one...Hey last week I was up your way, found a great local cafe "The Back 40" I think it as called?..good food/beer

Ha... yeah. The one in town, or The one on the island (this one's pretty new)? I live about 2 miles N of there..... shit, last winter the water in St. Aug was 48 I wore a vest under my 3/2, and had to find some old gloves that my hands didnt really fit into, and a hood that squashed my head. I only put it on when I was going to get caught inside...... luckily it was short lived.... speakin of short lived, I think the surf may get pretty good this eve.... I only expect it to last 1 tidal cycle though.... not enough fetch to maintain through the upcoming hard offshores.

SW now in Cocoa Beach; swell is smaller than I expected and the south angle is so tight that the open left faces are only offering short rides at best. The wind was west as the storms pushed through, by settled back south south west as they passed.

Secret inlet might be fun it it's not too small.

Locally is a no-go for me right now.

Well it was straight offshore and looking fun... a little soft (as windswells usually are at Lowtide her) but lined up... waited for the lightning to settle down to paddle out...of course shortly after paddling out the wind turns back south and hard.... surf was about chest-shoulder. maybe before dark, but not too optimistic....

The wind here dropped off at dark, how surprising.
