West Kentucky??!!! They are playing freaking WEST KENTUCKY???!!!! OMG, get out the DVR; this is a game I will want to play over and over again. Who needs UNC with Michael, James and Sam, or Duke with (fill in the blank), or Kansas with Danny, or UCLA with Lew or Bill or UVa with Ralph or any of those other mediocrities when you can have UCF/WKent???!!!! A win will definitely enhance UCF's reputation. Who could bet against them again if they are able to win this game?? Final Four? To heck with that. A win spells Natl Championship!!!

Bassey of Western Kentucky will be the NBA. That guy was great last night just young right now.

CONWAY, S.C. (AP) - The Latest on Myrtle Beach Invitational (all times local):

8:40 p.m.

Aubrey Dawkins hit five 3-pointers and finished with 21 points to help UCF rally from an 11-point deficit and beat Western Kentucky 78-62 on Sunday night in the championship game of the Myrtle Beach Invitational.

Tacko Fall, a 7-foot-6 senior, and B.J. Taylor each scored 13 for UCF (4-1). Taylor was scoreless on 0-of-7 shooting in the first half before making 3 of 4 from the field, including both of his 3-point shots, and 5-of-7 free throws after the break.

Dawkins hit back-to-back 3s to open the second half to give the Knights a 34-32 lead, their first of the game. Charles Bassey answered with a jumper but a dunk and then a jumper by Fall sparked an 11-2 run that made it 45-36 after another dunk by Fall with 15:51 to play. WKU (3-2) scored seven of the next 10 points to pull within five about four minutes later but would get no closer.

Bassey scored 13 of the Hilltoppers' first 17 points as they built an 11-point lead midway through the first half. The 6-11 freshman finished with a season-high 25 points and 10 rebounds and has three double-doubles in five career games.

fyi, Western Kentucky is favored to win C-USA preseason. They were pretty good, UCF took one on the chin early but crawled back and then held a ten point advantage most of the game. Western Kentucky looked like they may have got tired towards the end. Probably spent too much energy beating West Virginia the previous game.

Great win for UCF though. Resume' builder winning a tourny! LOL all you want at "Western Kentucky". That is fine. Fun game to watch for me.

You guys will eventually come around. I'll be here for you when it happens to offer support. Go Knights! Charge On....

Me three. Hope we win. Bama was good last year but don't know about this year. Surprising team out of the SEC is Auburn this year.

Auburn was a consensus preseason top 10 team .... Get up with the times, please.

UCF beats Bama. UCF bball has some flaws. But nice gritty win against alabama.

Concerning Auburn: Bruce Pearl probably should have been fired like his assistant did with the FBI NCAA investiation. But, You can't take away Auburn's Bruce Pearl Coaching. He did get Tennessee as a great team before he got fired there for violations.

I'm totally up with the times. I thought Auburn may be hit with NCAA sanctions and they still might.

Why Auburn's Bruce Pearl, once on the hot seat due to an FBI investigation, got a contract extension
It wasn't that long ago that Pearl was believed to be close to being fired, but a lot has changed since then

Well, , , , of course UCF should beat Alabama at Football! After all, everybody knows that B Ball is King at Bama and football is a secondary program. LOL

Well, that espn article is the main article of the day on the main page of ESPN.com NCAA page. Good exposure!

Maybe UCF will slide into the top 25 this week with the win. Who knows. UCF basketball has flaws for sure but nice gritty win last night from a respectable Bama team. Bama has a young team. They had a freshman player that was really good. They may make some noise in the SEC this year.

UCF beat bama last night on experience and Tacko inside presence. The refs called a bad game against both teams. Bama made a run at the end but ran out of time.

next game At Mizzou Sun Dec 2nd. 3pm ESPNU.

UCF Men's basketball finished 10-2 in non-conference games. They are just two plays away from being undefeated. The two losses were settled in a final shot. Next are conference games starting in January. Conference will be tough. UCF is predicted to win the conference pre-season. that hasn't changed. #21 Houston is currently undefeated. Temple looks tough.
UCONN is surprise team also along with Cinci. They looked really good last night slaughtering Illinois State 77-56. UCF finally got their groove on and playing like a team on a mission.

Coincidently UCF Women's team is 10-1 in non-conference. Maybe slide into the top 25 if they beat Syracuse next.
