Saw some photos from bioreconstruct at twitter. Their Surfside Inn seems to have pretty good decor. I've wondered where Hilton gets theirs. It normally seems a bit creepy-dismal.
On the side, if you really like surfing photography and have the bucks, Taschen, an art and whatnot publisher, has their enormous 15 pound "Surfing" book on sale paired with "Leroy Grannis Surf Photograpy of the 1960s and 1970s" (excellent) for $99 plus shipping. the third item, Art Brewer's book "Bunker Spreckels: Surfing's Divine Prince of Decadence" has Art Brewer photography, but Spreckels' tale is as dismal as it gets.
Here's a foldout from the "Surfing" book. It's something I noticed while reading a Washington Post list of best books for the year. It seemed a really strange pick. Then it showed up on sale.
