1) Quadry Jones, redshirt freshman. From Orlando's Jones High School. He only played for one snap last year. He threw for a trick play long bomb TD.

2) Brandon Wimbush, 5th Year Senior transfer from Notre Dame. Was previously a heisman candidate at ND. However, got replaced by Ian Book who is starting this year. He was eligible to transfer as he graduated at ND.

3) Dillon Gabriel, Freshman from Hawaii. Broke Bama's qb Tua records along with McKenzie Milton's records. He is good friends with KZ. A reason he came from hawaii. Heavily recruited by Georgia, South Carolina and USC. Chose UCF due to story of McKenzie Milton.

4) Dariell Mack, Jr. Started two games last year and came in after KZ's gruesome leg injury. Junior. He suffered a ankle injury off season so is booted up. Reports that he will be eligible to play a few games in.

5) McKenzie Milton. Taking a redshirt his Senior season so will be eligible in 2020. He is walking now but still wears a knee brace. He is carrying the clip board and acting like an assistant Qb coach. He has said he wants to coach after school. I doubt he will play again. but, keeping the faith. Milton has performed miracles for UCF. Proud fan.

Here is a post first practice interview of Coach Heupel and the three Qb's in the starting race to propel UCF into the next era. Preseason Coach Poll has UCF at #17. UCF's highest preseason rankings ever. Go Knights!

Why not start Gabrielle... If he beat Miltons and Tuas high school numbers he should slide right in. How does the defense look? Milton was a true freshman starter correct? I wish Miami and UCF would set up a home and home every year.

He very well may start. Coach Heupel has said no starter has been announced and it is an open competition. Gabriel looked good in the spring game. Both Wimbush and Gabriel were here for the spring game so they both got in early.

It will be interesting who wins. During the UCF coach meet n great at Port Canaveral a couple months ago, Coach said whoever is the most consistent will win the starting job.

I think Wimbush will be the starter Aug 29th just due to he has starting experience and is older. He looks a lot bigger also. Don't count out Quadry Jones though. Although not a flashy named player he is reportedly pretty good as well.

Defense is looking to be pretty good this year. DBs are best in conference. Linebackers really good. Some question marks on DL though. We lost a lot. However, we have some returning players and had a slew of transfers on the DL. Hoping Randy Shannon knows what he is doing. I think he does. He has been around for awhile in coaching circles.

I do think this is UCF best team ever. However, with that said, putting faith in a bunch of 18 to 22 year olds is iffy. Won't know until see them play. I've burned before as a UCF fan. Will be burned again. However, please dear football gawds...not this year...

Randy Shannon is one of the best d coordinators in the country. He will have UCF's Defense stuffing. Stanford coming to Orlando is definitely a game worth going to.

A heated battle is good! Can't wait for the opener and Stanford especially! Game on.

Yup, can't wait either. This UCF team is stacked this year. Just need a great Qb. Hopefully one of the three, or all of them are great!

Well now I am paying attention. This is interesting.

"Brandon Wimbush will be our starting quarterback and Dillon Gabriel will get an opportunity to play in the first game as well," Heupel said in a release. "We've been pleased that all three quarterbacks have played at a high level during fall camp."
