So I had a Ram 1500 Ecodiesel that I sold to my younger brother about 3 years ago. Long story short, he had an issue that caused a fire in the engine compartment. We had Chrysler look at it and reported it, but they found some loophole that allowed them to get out of providing any payout for repair of the issue that caused it. All that to say, from what I can see, it appears the damage is limited to the top of the engine and mainly melted hoses, etc. Looking for anyone that has experience repairing/rebuilding this engine or recommendations of folks that would be interested in doing the work.
