Depends on where they're farmed raised. If they're kept. some are in cages in the ocean, some are in ponds full of feces. I love seafood. Due to Fukushima and BP in the gulf, I've limited my intake to those caught on the east coast. Even tho, it's still iffy. My wife can't eat rock fish. got some kind of toxin that makes her call for Huey on the porcelain phone while having the Nestles Quickies. Once we got flounder sammiches from one of my clients and she ended up spending the night in the tub. When I thanked the Mgr for the tainted sammich, I discovered it had been sitting on a platter next to RF.

Good stuff.

Capitalism is based on the ridiculous notion that you can enjoy limitless growth in a closed, finite system.

In biology, such behavior of cells is called "cancer".

I was at a seafood restaurant in Orlando that is supposed to be known for their conservation practices, when I overheard the server behind me, tell her table that they served only 'sustainable swordfish' and the meat is a little pinker than normal because the eat only shrimp. After regaining consciousness from choking on my food, I called the manager over and asked if I heard that correct; she replied that I had and proceeded to feed me some BS before I cut her off. I told her there is no such thing as sustainable swordfish and either they are straight up lying to the customers or selling them meat other than swordfish.

She profusely apologized and tried to take 50% off of my meal, which I refused.
