Heard the nursing home or whatever that place is behind it bought out the building and they are moving across the street to a smaller location in June? Sold their liquor license too. It was packed enough in the current location, I can't imagine this working in a smaller location.. It did years ago when it wasn't so popular with the soccer Moms.

You didn't heard this from me. But I heard that the old timers home was getting super pissed at doubles for the loud music and they kept offering money to owner to the point where he was happy what they were offered. I heard that the general manager will be taking over the Doubles name and movIng it to the south Patrick hardware building. With no liquor. I'm not sure how I feel about it because I'll be opening up my own place in the plaza next to it and I'll be kinda mad if their parking floods our plaza parking

Japanese, Taiwanese, and Chinese

Ramen (trained 3 years in Japan for this), Sushi, Taiwanese dishes, and typical chinese to go menu

Im very noodle oriented. My wife cooks Japanese. My parents cooked chinese and taiwanese dishes.

good luck on the new restaurant. Having doubles next door may bring in some extra customers or at least give you some visibility.

My daughters will be very happy if they can get decent ramen or udon close to home.

As far as Doubles is concerned, I asked one of the old time bartenders the other week and he acted strangely, like he wasn't able to talk.

I've heard rumors of it going back to being a sandwich place (sans bar) over at the hardware store, but it's probably still be sorted out.

Yes, I am ready for you to open! I heard the same thing about Doubles (but you didn't hear it from me). I also heard that it was going back to being just a sandwich shop which would be ok - I like ramen better than sandwiches.

Was in Doubles the other day. They have not secured a lease anywhere yet. They are now considering the old Cove/Neptunes building.

Yeah, I hope they don't have to go to the Cove/Neptune/Satellite Breeze/etc building; it seems cursed. There are a lot of restaurants for sale locally; it'd be nice if something opened up for them. Looks like a new Oyster bar is headed into the old Bunky's location in Satellite.

a lot of those buildings should be torn down and rebuilt those buildings are so damn old and aren't that "sound" we owned the golden chopsticks building and by 2000 that building was super rough.

The cove/neptune building has been there since the 50's, Used to be a smaller building with a 9 hole par 3 in the back.
