Nice weekend of camping out, hanging out, listening to music. Decemberists and Jason Isbell at the auditorium to cap it off. Good stuff.

Good times.... between partying with friends in town for the Vans ducttape festival, and back to back concerts at the amphitheater, I'm worn out

camped at Anastasia, went to the duct tape opening, saw the Dewar's, surfed and partied till late Saturday night. Yep, St. Augustine was a great time this weekend.

Had a blast! Stayed in the camper at Anastasia and the shows were great. We've done that a few times and I love the convenient access to the amphitheater. The decemberists are always so incredible. Great fun!

How the heck did you guys get into Anastasia? Reserve a year in advance? We did North Beach, nice campground but $$$.

It's always tough. In this case, as soon as singoutload was announced (which luckily was before the Decemberists even announced their tour) I booked the whole weekend. It filled up that same day. Sometimes they have walkup-only spots available at the park, but that's a gamble. The way booking works for the FL state parks has always frustrated me. The popular ones you just can't get into without booking the 11 months in-advance, and even then, people game the system by preloading their booking to include the prior week, and then dumping the extra days later. It's unfortunate, but unless you play that game too, you will almost always be shutout for Bahia Honda, Curry Hammock, Anastasia, etc..

Makes sense. When we got the tickets, Anastasia only had a couple of tent sites left and Mrs. tom REQUIRES air conditioning. No argument from me. Maybe next time.

Tom, LOL, yeah, my wife has some pretty high end camping requirements also. I was solo, and I got the second to last campsite when I pulled up at 5pm. If that didn't pan out, it was river to sea down by Marineland. Would have made my beach cruiser ride to downtown much less enjoyable.

Nice work guys! I live in town and even considered getting a campsite... figured the ability to surfing in the park and stumbling home from shows, within bike distance would make the weekend even more fun.... alas no sites available

That is always such a good time.

I like Sam Pacetti - I caught him at Stogies the night Tom Petty died, and we had an impromptu wake. One of the bartenders was a big soccer fan, too, so it was a great night.
