Its sad to see WSJ opinion commentary weaponized to allow the richest in our country to concentrate even more wealth under these giveaways all the while using the middle class as their purported justification.

Thomas Roland Tillis is an American politician and businessman who is the junior United States Senator from North Carolina. Wikipedia

Sort of like if trump wrote an editorial telling you how smart and successful he is.

The connies would lap that up too.

Capitalism is based on the ridiculous notion that you can enjoy limitless growth in a closed, finite system.

In biology, such behavior of cells is called "cancer".

North Carolina has a blue core that sustains it.

Yep, we are doing very well up here.   We even had a 5 cent on the 100$ decrease in property taxes last year in my county.

Yet our democrat gov just vetoed a bill that would provide funding to the utility authority and UNCW which would help in the identification/ solutions to the chemical that Chemours/dupont has been dumping in our drinking water source for many years (thanks EPA and NCDEQ) and has polluted private wells and PWS from fayetteville to wilmington.   He did want to put in place funding to hire MORE gov workers for NCDEQ, an agency that basically does nothing but personify regulation and  enforcement.  Most violations per NCDEQ are not even legally enforceable per NCGS, but at least they can say they wrote a letter requesting action to "violations" when challenged by joe public.

Worked for and with NCDEQ and the EPA for the last 20 years, both are pretty close to worthless in my opinion.
