Well Mr. Bothsidesarejustasbad,

My libtard friends are shouting from the roof tops, circulating petitions on social media, etc... Urging people to speak up to stop the FCC from ending net-neutrality.

Haven't heard or read a damned thing from my conservative friends. They are convinced that this is good "de-regulation".

So yeah, sound the alarms about this. Deride corporate media for not covering it adequately.

But don't fall for this "both sides are just as bad" bullshit. Who put the net neutrality rules in place to begin with? Who is speaking out against the current FCC direction? Who controls the current FCC?

Plenty of bought and paid-for corporate stooges in DC from both parties but there is a big difference in the electorate and general philosophy in the base. Watch and see who defends this as beneficial de-regulation, because freedumb, versus those who oppose this because corporate hegemony and anti-competitive practices of those who will throttle the flow of info.

This has been all over the media since about monday.. saw plenty of headlines.

Hell, even Pornhub has it at the top of every page

So much for that conspiracy theory of a "media blackout"

But yes, the corporations are attempting to steal control of the internet- net nuetrality needs to stand.

The new head if the FCC is a corporate shill..

And of course, was installed by Trump.

Just makin America greater!

Please, most of us knew this type of shit would happen well before the election. Why in the hell do you think we were so against Trump the idiot becoming president?

You can find my threads about this very subject on this very board from a year ago.

Republicans are all for the demise of net neutrality it's common knowledge. Once again, if you want proof, just search the treads that are already on here....

This is nothing new, why didn't you pay attention to shit like this BEFORE you voted for Trump?

And why would you say this isn't on CNN and the like when it obviously is?

The link I posted a while back to John Oliver's explanation was spot on.

It will come to pass when those that favor corporations over the people are in power.

Which Republican Senators oppose it?
Can we count on any?

conservatives are censored under current net neutrality rules so maybe you can understand

youtube demonetizes their videos, twitter bans them or blocks the content as offensive, reddit quarantines everyone into the_donald and blocks them from the front page, i could go on but you wont believe me

the internet was just fine before net neutrality, there was less censorship than there is now that's for sure

None of that has anything to do with net neutrality. You tube, twitter, reddit, 2nl, whitehouse.gov can post or block whatever lies, truths or hate whatever they like from their sites.

This is about the pipes.

there is no problem with the pipes, its the peering connections that matter anyway, even under net neutrality you can get choked if whatever service you use has shit peering

the problem is with the content hosts, google, facebook, the access to information, the control of DNS

i am not aware of net neutrality having any effect over the peering agreement issues at least (because it already sucks)

Robert, you are mistaken in your intitial premise, i.e., that we are arguing over whose dick is longest. We settled that some years ago, with me being the clear winner.
