"Our democracy is in serious danger.
President Trump is either totally compromised by the Russians or is a towering fool, or both, but either way he has shown himself unwilling or unable to defend America against a Russian campaign to divide and undermine our democracy. That is, either Trump's real estate empire has taken large amounts of money from shady oligarchs linked to the Kremlin - so much that they literally own him; or rumors are true that he engaged in sexual misbehavior while he was in Moscow running the Miss Universe contest, which Russian intelligence has on tape and he doesn't want released; or Trump actually believes Russian President Vladimir Putin when he says he is innocent of intervening in our elections - over the explicit findings of Trump's own C.I.A., N.S.A. and F.B.I. chiefs. In sum, Trump is either hiding something so threatening to himself, or he's criminally incompetent to be commander in chief. " Thomas L. Friedman ------------------------- "The truth is incontrovertible. malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is." -Sir Winston Churchill |

So quick to label every detractor as an enemy except Russia. It's a deliberate blind spot that the trump fan club joins in on and increases. They may never understand how or why trump maintains this blind spot but that takes their eyes off of the focus that Russia has attacked us, they have succeeded and they are attacking us again, emboldened by their success and the lack of consequences.

It is pretty amazing that a sitting US president chooses a foreign entity over the FBI.
It's even more amazing that 40% 0f the voting populace agree with him. Had Obama failed to enact Russian sanctions, he would have been drawn up on impeachment charges...and rightfully so. ------------------------- I was right. |

Hey Hap, this all really took root during the 8 years of Obama. Your boy Adam Schiff even said so. |

How could Obama allow tampering with our election during his watch? He should have been better than this. |

On Friday, news broke that Robert Mueller's special investigation had indicted 13 Russians and three Russian organizations for having engaged in efforts to interfere in the 2016 U.S. election. In his announcement, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein explained, "The defendants allegedly conducted what they called information warfare against the United States, with the stated goal of spreading distrust towards the candidates and the political system in general." Rosenstein also pointed out that no Americans were being indicted, saying, "There is no allegation in this indictment that any American was a knowing participant in this illegal activity." He added, "There is no allegation in the indictment that the charge conduct altered the outcome of the 2016 election." However, Rosenstein did note that the investigation remains ongoing.

Romney was right. Woopdeedoo -he's a decent guy with good intentions-unlike our current pres. Although I don't think Romney's point was premised on election meddling. When Obama learned of the meddling, trusting intelligence - he aggressively stepped up during the end of his term. Why would the next in line reverse course? The scariest thing is the volume of americans that Trump has "trained" or "tricked" into standing in lockstep with every idiotic and usually dishonest thing he does and says. His supporters exemplify the most unamerican trend of "Party (President) over Country." |

What’s really hurting us all now WG is the same old obstructionist partisan bull shit that has been going on for decades. Get over the fact that Trump won and try and have a better candidate in 2020. All the continual whining is getting old. |

Key words matter:
"this indictment" "the investigation remains ongoing" "unwitting individuals associated with the Trump campaign" This is just one indictment encompassing the Russian troll farm. Proving allegations that the election was influenced one way or the other is not the objective here. They are being charged for fraud and other things that can be easily prosecuted. Financial disbursements from foreign nationals for the purposes of influencing federal elections Failure to register as foreign entities before engaging in political activities within USA Failure to obtain visas Conspiracy, obstruction, identity theft, etc. Edited: 02/19/2018 at 02:00 PM by 3rdworldlover |

You have to figure out what your argument is here. Obama underestimated Russia's cyber terrorist abilities so that means trump can ignore Russia altogether as they capitalize on their recent successes? Hung up on Russia? Is that what the right echo chamber calls dealing with your enemies? Reagan would have defected from the GOP if they were this cozy with Russia.

As usual Obama fucked up and Trump has to try and fix it. How’s that for clarity? |

Not very good. If trump is trying to fix it, how exactly is that happening. He won't acknowledge it, he won't sanction them and he literally said putin said he didn't do it and he believed him. That's your fearless leader.

Obama didn't do enough?
Or, shouldn't have gotten FISA warrant and unmasked the Trump kooks that were colluding with the Russians? Can't have it both ways |
