Of course not. trump can't read.

On another note, can you imagine the uproar if Obama had saluted a NK general?

The Iran deal had thinks like "inspections" and "verifications".

I'm sure a handshake will do for Kim, though. He's a tough leader and new bestie.

Yep, in a few seconds Trump saw that NK was no longer a nuclear threat.

Worksux had a legitimate complaint about verification and inspection for Iran. I wonder if hindsight and North Korea make him side more with Obama than trump now.

If great and wonderful talks with the Chinese result in $50 billion in tariffs, what would the result of bad talks be?

Optics. Not results. Negotiations? More like speed dating. Lots of pictures. Not a lot specifics. The best deal ever? Just ask him and he will tell you it is.

Probably not.

We have no agreement where we can inspect and monitor measurable goals.

NK has a sweaty handshake and a sloppy salute.

I would rather buy our enemies than kill them all and watch our allies bear the brunt of an avoidable war. Selling soft power is good politics. Escalating talk of fire and judgment with derogatory nicknames, tough talk about whose button is bigger and this need to always have a winner and loser is childish. We used to use diplomacy to explain the US's power and capabilities with an objective, a time frame and civility. We started the world down the path with this paradigm. We, and by we I mean trump, has abandoned this approach in favor of a "what have you done for me lately" approach, and by "me" he means himself, not the American people.

Or return in exchange for oversight?

You could show them the documents, have them talk with the people who made the deal and with the bankers involved and you would still get the reply, "Would you guys approve if we gave NK $150billion?"

I've been on the edge of the jungle for the last 10 days far removed from civilization and haven't been bothered by world events....only reeling in large tuna, dorado and sailfish (unfortunately no marlin). But, the little bit that I know about the deal......it sucks balls too so far......

Pike added that verification - which was not included in the agreement but Trump told reporters would happen - "would be nearly hopeless." "There are too many 'magic mountains' where stuff can be hidden," he said. "Verification would require full access to program records and would require confidence that the records were complete and accurate."

Having said that, I think the talks are still underway and I'll let the process play out. I have no problem with laying off of war games in their back yard for the time being, as a show of good faith. As far as his [Trump] publicly ignoring NK's human right's issues, all I can say is he is truly a bullshit artist and if it works to denuclearize the peninsula, more power to him, if it fails miserably like previous attempts, maybe laying the pimp hand down IS necessary.

I think I ate my body weight in fresh fish everyday. Pretty sure I don't want to see the Hg levels in tuna for that area. If I could ever learn how to post my own pics, I'll share the joy.

Trump threatens Iran with war. He threatens North Korea with nuclear annihilation. He dirties his knees for Putin.

Looking more likely that Iran will have a revolution shortly. Trump, unlike Obama, knows how to negotiate.

If an Iranian revolution is all it would take to make Trump's stupidity eventually turn into wisdom, you have misplaced your optimism.
