The problem was created by ignoring the laws we already have on the books for far too long. The only reason these illegal immigrants are trying to get in this way is because they believe they will be able to do so, with little to no consequences. Many of them have been exploiting our immigration system by bringing children with them, so that they will receive preferential treatment under the law. If an American family was caught taking a child through the desert on a trip like this, taking only a gallon of water, then that child would most likely be separated from their parents too. If an American tried to illegally enter most of these central and south Amercian countries, then we would most likely end up with our souls being separated from our bodies.

It is time for congress to stop kicking the can down the road and make some tough choices. You think a law is unfair and unjust? Cool. Sit down and change the law, the way government is supposed to work. You don't get to pick and choose which laws you enforce and which ones you turn a blind eye to, based on how popular that idea may be at any given time.

A month or so ago, a group of illegal immigrants were organized to walk to the California border in large numbers. I think this publicity stunt/threat was a big mistake.

And comparing what is going on here, and the living conditions of the detainees, to Nazi Germany or the Holocaust only makes you a Holocaust denier.

Sniper, the GOP controls the House & Senate. House republicans split recently on moderate to hard-line views on immigration and the democrats don't want to address anything unless it has provisions for DACA and the so-called anchor babies who's parents can potentially be deported. This is how we got here. In April, Trump approved this "zero-tolerance" plan put forth by John Kelly and Stephen Miller and Sessions implemented the policy.

So, yeah. Stop kicking the can down the road and take a hard look at that legislative accomplishments have been made since Trump has been president: massive tax cuts for the rich and adding Trillions to the debt. That's about it.

The ball has been in the republicans court and they're on the sidelines arguing over a whether to use a racket, a bat or a fishing rod.

Democrats also refuse to compromise at all when it comes to giving Trump what he wants for the border wall, so Trump is creating a political tipping point to bring them to the table. For far too long, the Democrats have viewed compromise as Republicans bending to what they want.

If you want someone to blame for the "zero tolerance" policy, then blame People Without Borders for thinking they can force their way into our country by overwelming the border.
