The context seems appropriate. It was an attention grabber leading in to discuss how black people were neither seen or heard as part of that moment in history. The opinion article did not call the current movie racist, it did not call NASA racist. It said that the movie was a reminder of how a segment of the population viewed the space program, how they felt left behind and ignored. I clicked Tpab's link thinking I was going to get a Kanye-esque Katrina rant.
