Rusty first needs to provide a supportable definition of "stealing." I assume his definition will include the word "fair." He then needs to define what is fair in his view, and then specify who gets to define "fair" in a real socialist system, and explain why it is actually "fair." Theft (stealing): the taking of something of value without consideration. Under capitalism, no worker will ever be paid the full sum of the wealth they create for the capitalist. In fact, the capitalist will pay the lowest wage possible, and makes sure there is a "reserve army" of unemployed workers to keep downward pressure on wages. The taking of this wealth without consideration is wage theft, and it's a cornerstone of the system. I say that's not "fair" to use your term Joe. ------------------------- Capitalism is based on the ridiculous notion that you can enjoy limitless growth in a closed, finite system. In biology, such behavior of cells is called "cancer". Edited: 04/16/2019 at 09:15 AM by RustyTruck |

You're mistaken Riddle, I propose no theft. You've convinced yourself that corporations are entitled to steal the majority of the wealth created by their workers. nope, convinced myself of no such thing. i said differently a couple of times already, right here in plain black and white if you bother to read it. suppose you could keep choosing to ignore that, whatevs. truth is some people work harder. some take more risk. some are better at their job. some put in more hours. some carry more responsibility. you get the idea, point being some people deserve more because they earn it. equitable is my line Perhaps we're both putting words in each other's mouths. I'm not arguing that everyone is entitled to equal pay. Even Marx acknowledged that. I'm telling you that unless you're "self employed", you're being paid much less than the value your labor generates. The major share of that difference goes into the pocket of the capitalist. And in order to get more and more, the capitalist will do everything possible to keep you and your fellow workers from organizing, and will jump at any opportunity to force you to take less in exchange for your labor. In trade union days, there was some balance, but after Reagan and the GOP went full corporate, wages have been essentially flat for like 30 years. Even worse, during that time productivity went through the roof. None of those productive gains made it back to the workers. Therefore we find ourselves today in a situation where 1% controls 90% of the wealth in the country. And that is not the result of anything I would call a stable and effective economic system. If you want a vision of what functional socialism looks like, I submit the Basque Spanish Mondragon Corporation. It's a massive co-op. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mondragon_Corporation ------------------------- Capitalism is based on the ridiculous notion that you can enjoy limitless growth in a closed, finite system. Never has...never will! ------------------------- The REAL truth is....both of the forum idiots are OWNED. -BOTH of them have no clue who their owner is. -They are both card carrying narcissists. ^These are PROVED facts. |

How's the 30 Billion dollar wall tax being imposed on us if congress didn't vote on it? Executive privilege? The GOP is so tribal they only care about abuses to justify their own.
