That's according to a new study written about in a New York Times( it must be true) op-ed that drew the ire of the newspaper's readers online.

The report, by the Institute for Family Students, was titled "The Ties That Bind: Is Faith a Global Force for Good of Ill in the Family?" It was conducted by seven professors, including a University of Virginia professor of sociology and a Georgetown University professor of marriage, who found that "highly religious couples enjoy higher-quality relationships and more sexual satisfaction" than their progressive counterparts.

The op-ed was slammed by critics who said conservative wives were "brainwashed" and were told to say they were happy. "People dumb enough to blindly follow a religion are happy because they don't know any better," one person wrote on Twitter. "Dummies are the most content." Fox News Contributor Rachel Campos-Duffy said on "Fox & Friends" Wednesday that kind of thinking is ridiculous.

spankit cites a "story" about an opinion piece in the NYT. Yes the NYT posts the thoughts and opinions of all types of folks and not just liberals. That is but one of the reasons (journalistic integrity, well written articles, not intimidated by threatening dolts) it is solid and valuable source of information.

It's nice that religious couples (to include Muslim couples) are happy but it ain't all rosy...
