In the last case against him, he received something like a 14-month sentence where he was allowed to leave jail from 8am to 5pm or something. Epstein has access to the best lawyers in the country. Unless there are details that we are not aware of, it seems like his first go-around would have made him cocky, not completely defeated. If he were going to do something like this, I would think he would do it when the case or trial was further along and he had some idea of what he was up against.

His last case was a state sentence to palm beach county jail time in their alternative custody's work release. This case was a federal southern district New York case. Every thing about that is different.
