Seems like a good thing to do. When I was that age, we had nuclear war drills. We got under our desks and put our hands on top of our heads. It worked, as demonstrated by the fact that I am still here. I would further point out, that kids today have it easy. A shooter is nothing compared to a nuclear war. We had to overcome some real shit back in the day.

We had to overcome some real shit back in the day. My dad was a chemist for the army. I was 7 and we were living in Germany when the bay o pigs fiasco started. In the middle of the night we were awakened, told to grab all valuables and get ready to flee. I remember the look on my dad's face and my mom weeping. We were in a field waiting for helicopters when it was called off. That pretty much was the scariest crap I've been in. Which explains my total lack of forward thinking and vulnerability. Why are TpaFish and Cheater even chiming in on this thread.. their peckers have been shooting dust for a good 20-30 years now. What would they even know about children and schools at this point? Ignore these two senile geezers. Back to subject: It is indeed sad that this needs to happen in our day and age. I can't help but feel the children have been let down.. and unfortunately, not just on the subject of guns and schools. -------------------------
