Anyone remember when bush and cheney promised to protect them for their help in defeating saddam hussein, offering a no fly zone to assist them. At first, we were supposed to remove 50 troops, whose original mission had them there 1 month. That was 10 years ago. I believe the number of troops has actually been revised down to 28 troops.
Were these 28 troops the glue that kept the entire region from going to shit? How long were we supposed to keep them there? What was the goal? What is the exit strategy?
