Better cross our fingers that Trump is nominated as the R candidate. given that Biden should be able to easily beat him - especially given Trump's increasingly lunatic, cult leader behavior, further alienating the middle. If anyone else is nominated, they might win, and will without question pardon Trump on anything federal. Trump getting pardoned in 2024 would really suck.

Haley would be an average four year Republican and MAGA would fade into the background. Trump is old and declining mentally, a pardon won't buy him much time.
