This has the feel of a law that might get passed with the Christian Nationalists and Evangelicals the same way Alcohol was banned in the 1920's. It was a political concession to the religious people and while no one wanted to believe it would ever get as far as it did, it got there. For ten years that terrible law allowed the people and law enforcement to get much better acquainted. It was a good lesson for the people to see how politicians pander and how cops enforce rules selectively and terribly. A good education.
