Going to be moving away so it has to go. Love the board but dont have the space for it, annnd bought the exact model in timbertec. Almost new condition, only ridden 5 times. Has 42L of float, but the tail is drawn in and thin so it turns on a dime. Super fun and makes you want to experiment. Rode it in the bertha/edu swell and couldnt believe how much time it gives you to think. The wax is removed to reveal a very clean deck with minimal dimples. Has Dakine Track pad, future fin setup, standard fins. over $814 new, asking $525 Edited: 04/01/2015 at 09:42 AM by Paragon1 |

Nice board, but the price is a bit steep. Saw one at LBH not to long ago for $499 with fins. Are these boards not as great as the firewire promo says? Seems like everyone uses them a couple times and puts them up for sale. In theory the board looks like it should be a whole lot of fun. |

Where I obviously share your enthusiasm over timbertek, it has advantages and disadvantages. The FST has the advantage in being noticeably lighter and more "snappy" since its epoxy. Timber tek is quite durable, but still has foam underneath the wood. Over time that foam will compress and the potential exists for cracks due to the void thats created from it. Also, as mentioned its heavier. Im a fan of the tech behind it though, which is why im making the change, and also since they're going to be ornaments eventually with maybe a couple uses each year, id rather have them be something i can bring inside (bachelor life has its advantages). The shape is badass though, and thats why i bought one in T-Tek. The FST is practically new, and at $814 cost with the track pad, 600 is perfectly fair for a 3 month old board thats been ridden about 5 times and is kept inside (no yellowing), oh and nice work trying to undermine my ad...
