Bug eaten! 8 1/4" with a 5 1/4" base. Clear bead is filled with chopped gun roving. The balsa and cedar was not very "stiff", so I glassed it with three layers of 6 ounce. $55 plus mailing.

sick Paulie, lemme know when I can check this one out in the yard...!
yo ding, I need a new Justin Quintal fin for a 9'8 noserider and I'm digging this bug eaten balsa BUT it has to be a creative glue up with translucent green chlorophyll edge con fiberfill (and rear screw). can you work with that senor? ------------------------- "Don't count the days, make the days count." -Ali #rydyrstrong |

The Peruvian glue-ups are "as is" from Peru and only yield a max size of 8.5".
I do have lots of other "special" woods; black walnut, ebony, purple heart, zebra, lace, etc. A "standard" JQ is 9.75 with a front screw. But, I make mine with a rear screw. It is a big fin and fills up a standard 10 inch box. The problem with this fin with a front screw is that it leaves NO ROOM for a leash loop knot in the back of the box, that is common in a lot of boards. ------------------------- Dora Hates You |
