Had a good weekend, multiple 4 lb fish.

Not good yesterday, just 2 small fish.

Caught the skinniest bass I have ever seen yesterday. Looked like she was starving.

She fought strong and swam away quick. What should have been a 4 lb fish was barely 2 lbs.

Fished all week except yesterday; my son came in from College. Fish are prespawn, spawn and postspawn patterns.
Top water early chug bug, slush puppy or rogue, followed up by a steady diet of swimbaits, senkos or trick worms.
Averaging 60 fish per day mostly big females, biggest this week was 9.5

Nice.

Yeah we caught a few males with the bottom of the tail fin worn down and bellies a tad bloody I guess from fanning nests on the harder bottom that has shells?

A few fatter females too.

Our numbers aren't that great though, like 3 or 4 for a few hours.

One or two on Spooks, the rest on creature/craw type plastics (Havocs).

I haven't got a bite on a worm in awhile.

My grown daughter and Grandpa (no issues with hiking) have been fishing ponds around Palm Bay and wanted to get into some bigger fish with the hassle of a boat. (I know a boat can make a great difference)

Is it worth walking c54 or the banks of the pond grade down there?

Walk south on the levee that divides Stick Marsh and Fellsmere Water Management Area. Might be a few breaks in the veg that allow a casting lane. Lots of fish in there. Youtube vids indicate that the kayakers have been having a blast in there.

Probably best on a west or calm wind for casting ease.

I'm probably going to haul the canoe down there a few times before the weather gets too hot. Shouldn't be hard to get a bite on top water this time of year.

This guy is up against the levee between stickmarsh and fellsmere for pretty much the entire video.

any snook or poons on that side of the dam?

I read an older florida sportsman article of a snook fisherman getting a 4' bull on the east(seb river) side!

c 54 has outlets that each have humps on them from the water flowing, find those outlets and fish c rig or rattle traps, there are alot of big fish in c 54, alot of moccasins lately, be on the look out for them, also the bridges on c 54 hold fish. if you drive towards the outflow at sebastian river; the water quality is better

My buddy caught a big one Saturday, it was long as heck but really skinny.

Would have been a good one pre-spawn.

If I hear of anyone looking for a good guided session I'll refer them to your website.

Still lots of post spawn participants. Just pulled a piggy that showed 9.7 on my digital. Running water from storms is creating a bass feeding bonanza
