the pompano are def around the beaches right now in NE FL, but I am getting TONS of shorts, and then one or two nice ones.

Using frozen clams, any ideas one what could help cull the shorts, was thinking putting a fish bite or something harder for the runts to eat on, some guys up here do well with blue crab knuckles but I never have.

Also want to try some artificial banana jig and teaser deals but hard to get distance with the wind onshore.

Big pomps are usually the first to arive in spring, and last to arrive in fall (can tolerate cooler water than the little guys)

Dang I was afraid of that as have heard that before, also I am catching all the dinks by your area, while my friends are getting some nice ones up in fernandina.......I dont want to admit the run is toward the tail end as I just started figuring out some spots!

Given the some what limited range of the pomps I would venture Larry is the best pompano fisherman in the world!
