Got an invited aboard to chase hoos yesterday.... we got 2. Estimated 50+ and around 40. Missed 2 that probably got knocked out by the hi-speed lure. HA (one was a sail as we saw it on the surface) [IMG][/IMG]

Yeah, I try not to turn down invites for that reason..... aside from invites to Hi-Speed for the reason you mentioned (this is the first time I've ever really been out speciffically to hi-speed troll). It is expensive, especially considering how far we have to run before we even start fishing!....... luckily it was a friend's father's boat, and he usually just wants crew and not gas $....... but when we get back, we're doing all the mate work while he BSs around the marina. (fair trade to me

Fun day. Hi-speed trolling out of St. Aug yest.... 5 wahoo, most in the ballpark of 40-50# (take 2 to be weighed in today) .... Never lost a fish, but Probably wouldve had more if we werent fighting the scattered sargasm. Thought we had one monster..... until he turned out to be around 40# with about a 10lb++ massive clump of the weed on the trolling lead after his run...

The water out of here is awful; chilly, green, cloudy and weird. We were going to dolphin fish, but got two reports that were dismal. One boat fished their way back from the Bahamas on boated one fish, the other trolled for six hours with no knockdowns. We hit a shallow reef for some stringer fish, then ran south to Ft Pierce for Cobia. Saw three rays and boated one 36 incher. Tons of bait between the inlets and the spinners were whooping it up.

Five wahoos sounds awesome!

Nice. I heard of someone nabbing several 60# yellowfins.... but off st. Aug. Not sure how far off... I think the fish got lost. 5 guys and 5 wahoo in a CC was a good day fishing. ... unfortunately not being able to weigh in for 24hrs after fish was caught, it bled out a bit in the bag. We weighed in a 48 and 42.... which isnt sniffing placing in this tourney, but that was just the 1st day fishing, we have 2 more days to declare. Some guy weighed in an 88# yest

We bailed on the buoy because of the crowd, big mistake, a crew fished sunrise Saturday and it looked like they filled the boat with YFT and Dolphin.

Remember when 100 miles was a long way out?
