I'd like to get (non-clumping) bamboo to create some shade along the BR windows on the south side of my house or something else fast growing. It's along a 12' wide area on the unused side of the yard. Separately, I'd like to mulch the entire non-driveway portion of my front yard and plant some ground cover that can take over faster than the weeds can pop through. I'm interested in low/no maintenance (beyond annual) maintenance and would welcome advice on the above and a good place to buy at (wholesale?) reasonable prices. Thanks in advance.

Are you sure you want non-clumping bamboo? Those runners can be a bitch. I wouldn't recommend bamboo for anything as in the out years they become a maintenance nightmare.

I meant to write "clumping" but now I'm not even sure I want that.
