A shark bit my hand at the Light last night, so I'm out for the whole swell.
I took one for the team. It will be glassy perfection for the entire week. All of you owe me.

A filleted pointer finger and five or six punctures. Pretty good outcome considering. I was paddling through seaweed and my hand must have looked very mulletly....or it liked Nixon watches.

Heal quick! switch over to a cheap black plastic watch in the future.. maybe keep it on the leash or in the baggies.

Thanks for the well-wishes and I'm sure it will heal fast enough to be completely back to normal on the day it goes flat. 
Though it is a strange feeling when something you've been waiting for for decades finally happens.

Not sure what internal damage u have on your finger, but don't rush back too soon. I had a friend who got attacked by a shark (262 stitches) and he rushed back too quickly. He caused so much further damage all to make sure he didn't miss a good swell. He regretted it afterwards.

Yea, I'm not going to take any chances, there will always be more waves. Plus it's a valid excuse to not take 300 waves on the head each paddle out during the swell. I can legitimately be lazy for once.
