So far as I can tell, he hasn't overthrown the Constitution. So, I haven't bothered to read anything about this story. If I spent the time it would take reading all the BS about Trump, I'd have no time for anything else.

For the clearly expressed purpose of decapitating the constitutional elections system with the murder of the vice president and speaker of the house. Eliminating possible successors to his royal fatness if the cerification process was blocked and the coup d'etat took place.
He failed.......but not by lack of trying. Pence survived to certify the free, fair, and carefully vetted election of president biden.

Top Republicans stay silent on Trump's call to terminate the Constitution

As of Sunday morning, Republican leaders, including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy of California, as well as the Republican National Committee had not publicly commented on Trump's post. NBC News reached out to spokespeople for McConnell, McCarthy and the RNC for comment Saturday but did not receive any response.

Rep. Mike Turner, R-Ohio, similarly dismissed Trump's call for the termination of the Constitution in an interview on CBS' "Face the Nation." He said, "It's certainly not consistent with the oath we all take." Pressed on whether he can support a candidate in 2024 who wants to suspend the Constitution, Joyce said that he will choose "whoever the Republican nominee is".

Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., chair of the House Intelligence Committee, called out the silence of "constitutional conservatives."

"I guess a 'constitutional conservative' is one who is conservative in their support for the constitution ... when it's inconvenient," Schiff said in a tweet.
