It looks like a cool little scene. Sure, it ain't Hawaii, but does that really matter.

The guy making that little barrel was just as stoked with that wave as a guy reared on the North Shore is at Pipe.

I went to school in New Orleans. Fouchon, where they are is not far. I brought a board there and tried to surf. My 5'9 Rich Price was not going to be enough float to actually ride a wave. In winter, they get good low's in the gulf but their windows are even smaller than ours. I never got a hurricane swell there but I am sure that would be there best. The water is brown and really cold in winter, like 50's if the air temp has been cold for a while. Pensacola is better but like the guy said, its crowded and there is a surprising amount of talent when you consider that those guys are trying to get fat on a starvation diet.

i waded in a fishing canal in yscloskey/shell beach trying to get a snag out or something dumb once in 2012 and when i went home i had non itching chicken pox like boils all up and down the sides of my ribs...where my spill check at bp
