No matter what happens on the field, the next AP Poll this season will look different. Though voters were able to consider all Division I teams in the preseason poll, voters can only rank teams that are scheduled to play going forward. So teams in the Big Ten, Pac-12, MAC and Mountain West, along with other schools that aren't playing this fall because of COVID-19, will not be in the AP Poll the rest of the season.

It's nuts. I get the pros playing, they are adults and know the risks. Making money off young men not smart enough to consider the risks and not getting decent reimbursement is a joke. The NCAA is a clown show.

I like college sports better than pros. Yes, the season has a huge asterisk next to it. Oh well. Get use to it. It may or may not happen but it is leaning on happening.

And, dingpatch, you may want to look at the latest news. Football is happening. Dolphins announced today that they will allow 13,000 people in the stadium.

I don't think the NCAA is allowing fans. But, I could be wrong on that. Or, maybe undecided.

Yes, interesting times we are in. I'm bummed as this is UCF's best team this year. It will be interesting if covid spikes with school starting and sports getting back up and running. Tune in next week to another exiting 2020 episode.

I caught the last half of the news last night and I thought I heard Florida is allowing 2 family members per player to attend?

I was originally thinking football would never happen, but the money train must go on...

ORLANDO - The American Athletic Conference and ESPN announced the television selections and game times for multiple early-season, including UCF's season opener at Georgia Tech on Sept. 19.

The Knights and the Yellowjackets will square off at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.

It marks the 19th time UCF will play on a major television network (ABC, ESPN, ESPN2) since the beginning of the 2018 season.

Over the course of 2018 and 2019, the Knights appeared on a major network 18 times, which ranked 11th in the nation during that time period.

Earlier today, the media picked UCF to win the American Athletic Conference this season, which would be the Knights' third conference championship in the last four years.

The University of Utah will furlough every employee in its athletic department, even athletic director Mark Harlan and its head coaches, according to KUTV's Larry Curtis.

The athletic department has also reportedly eliminated some positions and suspended all performance bonuses indefinitely. The drastic steps are the latest sign of the massive financial ramifications of the coronavirus pandemic being felt in the world of college sports.

Here is a good link for week 2 games matchups with quick paragraph of what is expected. (below the blah blah blahs)

What I expect is a lot of rust since most teams didn't have a spring and limited summer practices. But, hey, football is back.

Will be interesting to see what happens when a team gets Covid. There have been many games cancelled or rescheduled. I hope for the best and some good football.

UCF first game is against Georgia Tech but not until Sept 19th, next weekend. GaTech plays FSU Saturday. UCF will have game film! Also, fyi, UCF only have 4 home games this year and tickets go on sale Friday, Sep 11 for season tix holders only. only 8,000 fans allowed into the bounce house. I'm hoping to score a ticket or two.
