I was just up in Nashville. The climate there has already changed to only 2 seasons: winter, and construction.

I know our overnight lows in July-September have been about 5 degree warmer during the last 15 years than during any period during the prior century and that has come with increase dew points as well. I also know we haven't had a freeze at our house since 2011 and that is quite a long period compared to prior records.

One of the hard things is working with public perception that is so skewed or indifferent. Think Civil Rights for example. Even after a monumental war, people tried to continue as previously for decades and generations. I fear this situation is much the same in time scale with the monumental changes still to come. Sigh.

The politicalizing of science by the GOQP could very well lead to catastrophe

And it's not exclusive to Florida, the peach people are looking at new peach hybrids to compensate for the lack of cold nights, Dolphin fish and Tuna are moving north - as are cod and salmon, the Corn-belt is taking a hit, cranberries have to be grown farther north and bird migration is moving up by an average of 400 miles.

I was right.

Interesting tid-bit:

With some of the hottest summers on record for several decades in many parts of the world, it must be doing wonders for solar power, right? As the world heats up, people may think that more sun will bring more solar energy, even if it has been negative for many other reasons. But soaring temperatures may be hindering solar power production as solar panels work optimally at around 77F and start becoming less efficient when the heat goes above this. And even if the heat does not hamper solar production, it is also doing little to help it.

I just grubbed out a "gulf beauty" plum tree that was bred to bloom and fruit on as little as 150 chill hours to make room for another tropical fruit tree because the plum hasn't gone dormant in years and never fruits.

You libs are so funny, spewing the things you've witness change in the tiny amount of time you've been on earth, then trying to compare it to father time.. "Birds are flying east and west now instead of north and south" "plums wont grow right" "the worms are closer to earths core more now then they've ever been!" Its comical!

no, it's sad.
None of those links I posted are from "libs".
They are from scientists.
You didn't read any of them.

You won't even try to understand, so you throw out dumb shit like that.

a glimmer there though

We ARE "witnessing change in the tiny amount of time we've been on earth, that would have happened anyway , some day maybe, but on the scales previously reserved for "father time".

Humans, the billions of us, are a powerful force,

Read some of that stuff, put politics aside.
The Wikipedia page is a nice start

Again, Antarctica and Greenland ice cores show that in-the-past there have been "dramatic" temperature changes in as little as 75 years.

And, we aint helping matters.
