Goddamn. Got me in love again.

I heard their hit and dismissed them as pop. I was wrong. Very talented. And I loved her in Wonder Woman.

Basically, Victoria Secret model who can sing. Songs are catchy. She's been big in the pop world for the past few years. I liked this version as it shows it basically is R&B with a disco beat.

It definitely shows she's not just the last part of a studio equation. She's got the voice and definitely the presence. Without this I would have happily underestimated her.

Duo Lingo = not bad. Once she collabs with Bad Bunny for their international crossover hit, I predict world domination. Hmmm. I do need a new yoga outfit.. Got a link to her new Lets get physical line?

Dua Lipa has got me, I woke up this morning with her 'Don't Start Now' song in my head as an ear worm. Listened to her newest album yesterday why biking Wickham park mtb trails, Futura Nostalgia and it really is a nostalgic record. For one, its really good to listen to while working out, ie uptempo danceable. Two, Bringing the 80s Euro Trash slash pop diva music back with some disco. You may not have liked that music but I did. On this record and it is hidden somewhat but there are bits of pieces of well know 70s/80s pop hits. You pick up on that the more you listen to it. Borrowed baselines, blibs, chirps and drum beats. Her voice is pretty good. The english accent adds something to it and she has a little bit of a breathing sexuality to it. Of course the lyrics are all about sex and partying and dancing and having fun. Also, so much pop dance (borderline bubble-gum) that I'm sure a lot of pop-music haters won't like it. But, I hear elements of good musicianship. It's produced of course, but leaves enough soul in the music for a middle-aged, er, older gentlemen would like it. Katy Perry had a baby and now singing about daisies (although I like her new music as well)...Dua Lipa moves in #1 spot on my Pop Diva Queen (flavor for the moment).

Thanks stir. My worldview, like yours it seems, is as cynical as Matt Groening's.

All right. I will admit it. Its the tiny desk concert. So easy to dismiss her after hearing her overplayed pop hits, but seeing her sing, giving her a chance. She bewitched me!

Homer Simpson is America.

And JohnnyB, I agree, she is quite captivating when performing live.

It's a recipe. Super hot, talented and signing about the nasty. It will always work.

Nice dance tunes.

I loved dance clubs. The kids today don't even know what they are missing.

Played the tiny desk concert on a walk and felt like I couldn't listen to it without seeing it. Like I said. Bewitched.
