Notice the "New cases" graph where the new cases go up prior to May; the left side peaks below 10K. Now look at the same spot on the "Cumulative deaths" graph where the deaths are increasing at a steady rate.

Now to the scary part: The HUGE spike in the New Cases graph (early-mid June) that eclipse 20K cases is WAY more than the early May part.

We are going to see an increase in deaths in about a week or so.

Hospital's ICU beds are nearing 75% capacity around the state, and that's NOT good...

The one good thing is that we are better at treating it now and dealing with the cytokine storm that ends up being the reason for most of the deaths.

Dexamethasone is cheap and has generics and seems to be helping with the most critical patients. My understanding it works by dulling the immune system just enough to reduce the impact of cytokine storm while still letting your body maintain enough of a punch to fight the virus. I know studies are underway or researchers are seeking funding for research on other drugs like rapamycin (at a very low dose) which has the same effect on the immune system.

The Trump administration has been sitting on nearly $14 billion in funding that Congress passed for coronavirus testing and contact tracing, according to Democratic Sens. Chuck Schumer of New York and Patty Murray of Washington.

The top Democrats said in a letter Sunday to Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar that the Trump administration has "still failed" to distribute more than $8 billion out of $25 billion appropriated by Congress to expand testing and contact tracing. The letter indicated that Congress passed these funds as part of a coronavirus relief bill in April.

So, I agree that these dotarts are out to kill us all.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention also hasn't awarded nearly $4 billion for surveillance and contact tracing at the state and local levels and tribal territories, they said, and little of $2 billion set aside for free testing for uninsured people has been disbursed.

I'm guessing he already has plans for this money:

President Donald Trump told a crowd of his supporters at his first campaign rally in months Saturday that he wanted to slow down testing for the coronavirus.
